The Capacity Development for Agricultural Innovation Systems (CDAIS) programme is active in eight pilot countries in Africa (Angola, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Rwanda), Asia (Bangladesh, Laos), and Latin America (Guatemala and Honduras).
The CDAIS partnership is working to identify the different players and the best ways to implement capacity development in each country. Together with relevant government agencies, national visions and action plans are being developed, accompanied by policy dialogues, a ‘market place’ and capacity development interventions for selected agricultural innovation partnerships and value chains
By the end of the pilot period, the improved capacity in agricultural innovation systems will have significant impacts in the fight against rural poverty. And coupled with the efforts of national stakeholders and experts, the CDAIS partnership will ensure that future agricultural innovation systems are better able to improve the livelihoods of farmers, agricultural entrepreneurs and consumers across the world.
