On 21 February 2018, a second CDAIS capacity development workshop was held at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences in José Eduardo dos Santos University, in Huambo, central Angola.
The workshop was attended by 34 participants, including the National Innovation Facilitators, the Country Project Manager, the Agrinatura Focal Point, many actors from the three innovation partnerships (rice, seeds, and rural entrepreneurship), and a capacity development expert from INOVISA, a Portuguese association that creates value by sharing knowledge, connecting people and improving skills.
The event was focused on addressing the needs of the three partnerships that are the core of the project in Angola, and the content was designed to respond to the identified needs of each of them.
During the morning, each of the partnerships reflected on the status of activities of their action plan that it is being implemented, and reformulated it as required, together with the ‘business model canvas’ that had been elaborated in the previous workshop.
In the afternoon, the partnerships defined new activities that would be undertaken in the next three months, before a small training component on how to communicate a project to funders and how to prepare a PowerPoint presentation.
With this workshop, together with the visits of the CDAIS team to the three partnerships, the partnerships are even more ready “to get down to business” and implement more of the activities planned by them.
