Title

Rice Development in Angola

Description

The aim is to identify cold and heat tolerant rice varieties for Huambo and Bié provinces, develop technical agronomic packages for farmers and prepare and elaborate a rice  cultivation manual. This niche is supported by JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency), IDA (National Agricultural Development Institution), IIA (National Agronomic  Research Institute), EDA (Extension National Services), DNHER (National Directorate for Agricultural Hydraulics and Rural Engineering), and SENSE (Seeds National Service).

Aim

Increasing rice production and productivity and improve smallholder production techniques.
